Engineers are working to restore power to about 200 properties still without electricity after high winds hit Dumfries and Galloway.
At one stage about 2,000 homes were affected, mainly in the west of the region.
SP Energy Networks said high speed winds had caused problems from Wednesday night until late on Thursday.
About 1,000 properties were still without supply at 22:30 on Thursday night but most have been reconnected.
There are estimated to be about 200 homes still without power.
School closureAn SP Energy Networks spokesperson said: "Engineers are working to restore supplies to these properties as quickly as we possibly can."
Twynholm Primary School has also been closed due to a power failure and is expected to reopen on Monday.
Flooding caused widespread problems on Thursday with Dumfries, Carsphairn and New Galloway among the places affected.
A yellow weather warning for ice and snow remains in force for the region until 12:00 on Saturday.
